ROLE DESCRIPTION

Location: Philadelphia, PA

The Executive Assistant to the General Counsel role at Power is not your typical EA position. You will be a key member of her team and an important resource as she creates and designs a legal department for a growing and dynamic organization.  You will manage the office and provide high level executive administrative support to assist the General Counsel in her role as Power’s attorney.  You will be expected to anticipate her needs, requirements and be one step ahead of the game. You will be exposed to and provide support in highly confidential and sensitive matters what will require extreme discretion and the upmost professionalism.  Additionally, you will be expected to take ownership of as many tasks as possible so to allow the General Counsel to use her time in the most productive way possible.  


Beyond that, you will handle impactful projects and become deeply involved in Power’s business and the legal department. Responsibilities

  • Meeting preparation including developing agendas, presentations and taking meeting minutes
  • Prepare internal and external proposals, planning documents and reports
  • Serves as the liaison between the Office of the General Counsel and other departments and functions, including interfacing on special projects
  • Work closely with outside counsel on litigation, counseling, research and special projects
  • Follow up with interfacing teams to ensure completion of previously agreed action items
  • Prepare confidential and privileged correspondence and memos
  • Close collaboration with the Executive Team and their EAs
  • Responsibility for supporting project work, including conducting research in support of the General Counsel's projects and strategic planning
  • Follow up on contacts made by the General Counsel to support ongoing relationships inside and outside of the Company
  • Coordinate General Counsel’s calendar, appointments, board related duties and travel arrangements including transportation and accommodations

Requirements

  • Hours: 8 am - 6 pm, with occasional work on the weekends
  • Positive attitude, with a passion for learning and a creative approach to problem solving
  • 2-3 years of experience in an administrative role
  • Excellent computer skills including Microsoft Office, Apple Applications and Apple Products
  • Occasional travel
  • Highly organized and able to prioritize under pressure
  • Strong written & verbal communication skills
  • Proven ability to deal with highly confidential and sensitive information
  • Ability to task switch in a fast paced environment and anticipate last minute changes
  • Attention to detail is mandatory
  • Resourceful Team player who is also effective independently
  • Proactive approaches to problem-solving and strong decision-making capability
  • Previous experience as a legal secretary or paralegal is a plus
