Full Stack Ruby on Rails Developer


Power is seeking a full stack Ruby on Rails developer to join the team at our
headquarters, just outside of Philadelphia, PA. You will have the opportunity to work with
talented people on challenging problems and make a significant impact on the business

As a full stack Ruby on Rails developer, you will be part of a cross-functional
Scrum team with other developers, designers, and DevOps. Each person on the team is
empowered to make decisions and enjoys great latitude in choosing the right tools and
methods for the job. As part of the team, you will be responsible for the design,
development and support of highly visible products.

At Power, our technology team builds a custom suite of products that run our entire
business. We create and deploy complete solutions for marketing, sales, operations,
finance, and more. We even have a custom communications platform that connects
everyone in the company. We use cutting edge technologies like augmented reality,
computer vision, artificial intelligence, speech recognition and processing, geospatial
data, and a variety of mobile platforms.

Qualifications

  • 2-5 years of relevant industry experience, majority with Ruby on Rails
  • Knowledge of Ruby development tools and best practices
  • Proven track record of delivering quality work on time
  • Work effectively with a small team using an agile workflow
  • Enjoy working with product specialists and end-users to understand requirements
  • Strong communication and collaborations skills to work with clients and provide daily
  • updates to the team
  • Curiosity and the interest to learn new programming languages and technologies

  • Web frontend: React, Bootstrap
  • Web backend: Ruby on Rails, Resque
  • Mobile frontend: React Native
  • Databases: MySQL, Redis, LDAP, ElasticSearch, InfluxDB
  • Team: Scrum, Git, Github
  • DevOps: Docker, Kubernetes, Jenkins
  • Languages: Ruby, Python, Javascript, Swift
